Clearly Borderline

Today's post comes from my current sketchbook, The Meaty Fist-Slabs of Mackelroy Cove (I enjoy giving them titles that sound like strange pulp novels), which happens to be square. You'll see a lot of square pictures as I fill that one up.
Anyway, the content proper. This is one of a pair of fan-art pieces I did today (you'll see the other tomorrow) for the up-and-coming band Studio Killers, specifically for their beautifully animated (and catchy) music video, "Ode To The Bouncer." Specifically specifically their mascot/frontgirl Cherry, who just might be one of my new favourite animated characters, what with her design and voice. She's sort of like a bizarre lovechild of a punk Betty Boop and Alex DeLarge. With this piece, I made an attempt at doing something a bit more spare and iconic with her splotchy makeup job from the aforementioned video.
